However, the sentence seems illogical. If the computer was asleep then it would not be playing music. If you were asleep then you would not be aware of what the computer was doing.

Beyond what GPY as already commented upon, I find the ending phrase rather awkward and not what a native speaker would usually choose. I would expect:
