A: Whose turn is it to cook dinner today?

B: I think I'm the next.

I think I'm the next=It's my turn to cook dinner today.

Is that correct?

You can say that, but I'd leave out "the". I'd say, "I think I'm next".

could "i think i'm the next" mean "it's my turn tomorrow"?
