Im presenting my SOP.kindly review it for mistakes.its urgent.

My sop goes likes this...

I, Srikanth Anukula, reckon it as a great opportunity to introduce myself as an undergraduate student in Bioinformatics from Sathyabama University, Chennai, one of the leading universities in India. Four years of my undergraduate studies with exposure and predilection towards research have made me the choice of further studies in the same field. In future, I ideate myself as a full-fledged research professional in an organization. The first step to accomplish my objective would be to pursue Masters Program in Bioinformatics. My ultimate goal would however be a PhD.

Throughout my student career I was a top ranking student. At my school level, one unreciprocated question was in my mind “how the smallest molecule like DNA contains the genetic instructions responsible for the development of the entire organism.” The answer to this question increased my interest towards biological sciences. My calibrated self confidence rewarded me with a distinction of 90.6% in matriculation (10th) and 95% in higher secondary (12th).

Rapid increase of science and technology in the field of bioinformatics has increased passion in me to delve more and more into the subject. This passion to make a difference has made me to choose bioinformatics in Sathyabama University. It has exposed me to many new fields in solving problems related to biology. During my second year of undergraduate, modeled a cancer causing protein bcl-2 and found suitable drug targets for it. To gain more knowledge about the subject, I spent lot of my free time in reading journals. After a long study, I came to know about the most commonly found bacterial infectious disease TB. Many synthetic drugs are used in the treatment of tuberculosis which causes adverse side effects and toxicity. So, I proposed a way of exploitation of medicinal plants along with their anti tubercular agents which does not have any side effects, for the treatment of tuberculosis. My proposal was accepted and assisted by my professors at my college.

My final year project titled “Natural products as anti-tubercular agents- A computer aided drug discovery approach” was aided and supported by Ventura Institute of Biosciences with the able guidance of Dr.S.Aravind and Dr.S.Kalyan, modeled the structure and found the drug targets of tuberculosis and gained practical knowledge while working with such experienced researchers. During my project, I came to know about various bioinformatics tools with the help of which wet lab work can be done easily. Published a journal titled “Structure-guided Modeling of Arachidonate 15-lipoxygenase B from H.sapiens" (AR-AP-2010-3-242) in International Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences. My academic pursuits have not prevented me from participating with interest in various co-circular activities and I’m one of the organizers in the national level symposium on bioinformatics (ZAVEST 2009) at Sathyabama University, Chennai. These activities have led to the development of multifaceted personality in me.

After finishing my graduation, my liking for research has burgeoned in the field of bioinformatics research. I hope to contribute significantly to the academic endeavors of the institution. With the dedication, intelligence and stamina to realize my objectives, I am confident that I would live up to your expectation. Working under the guidance of distinguished faculty at your department, I am surefooted that I will be able to exploit my potential to the fullest. I will be grateful if I am given with an opportunity to pursue graduate studies with financial assistance and am able to justify your faith in me.

I am eagerly looking forward to be a part of your academic community. I would be glad if I am accorded the opportunity to pursue higher studies at your esteemed institution.
