I'm pleased to meet you all

Jenny: Now, you get yourself to bed Carolina - you look exhausted.
Carolina: OK, I am. __________________. See you in the morning.

a. Lovely to meet you all.
b. Nice to meet you all.
c. I'm pleased to meet you all.
d. It was nice to meet you all.

My choice would be a?b?c?d. But I was told that c is not correct. So, could anyone please tell me why c is not correct?

Thank you in advance.

jacklong , could anyone please tell me why c is not correct? I see no solid reason why C is wrong. A, B and C can be used while meeting someone.

The situation is after meeting. Maybe I need to post more context. Anyway, which really confused me is why c can't be used after meeting?

How about "nice meeting you all"? Can it be used while meeting someone or only be used after meeting someone?

I really appreciate your help, thank you.

It is as much custom as anything, I think, but you can see that the verb is present: 'I am pleased...'

According to my knowledge, if "I am pleased to meet you all" is not OK used after meeting someone, so the phrases like "I am glad to see you""I am happy to meet you" and so on are not OK used as well. But the phrases like "It is glad to meet you all"?"It is great to see you all" and etc. are OK after meeting someone.

Any comments on the above question will be highly appreciated from me.

Mister MicawberIt is as much custom as anything, I think, but you can see that the verb is present: 'I am pleased...'
So, why c is not correct is because of the verb.

a should be "It was lovely to meet you all", but "It was" is omitted.
b should be "It was nice to meet you all", "It was" is omitted.
If we add "It is" to a and b, both a and b

That is not possible.

Mostly, yes, but 'I am happy to have met you', etc.

jacklong Is that right?
Basically, yes. Let me emphasize that these phrases have many permutations and are often used at various times (before, during, after meetings) without much thought, as they are fixed utterances of courtesy, not thought-out feelings.

Because in C, we say "pleased to meet you"
