Essay & Composition Writing

I'm not sure if I am allowed to ask the question this way but

I have written an abstract for my anthropology essay, and I am really weak at English grammar. (especially articles a, the)
I don't expect anyone to fix all the grammar errors, but can you skim through this and address any simple grammar errors? or any ambiguous or unclear sentences?

"This paper examines the history and the consequences of immigrants in Canada. It will look closely at how the skilled and business immigrants have the higher chance to earn more income than family immigrants using data sample from Chinese immigrants in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, deriving a hypothesis that careers and motivations that immigrants have are the most important in terms of economic success although it is undermining their presence to exclude their cultural and social influence to Canadian Society. A roughly one-fifth of Canadian population is immigrants. While Some of them meet the expectations that they had before migrating to Canada, some are not satisfied. We will address this issue by comparing Canadian governments initial purpose of accepting immigration, and how the purpose changed over time increasingly in favor of Canadian economy, creating a gap between the expectation and reality that immigrants face. Ultimately, this paper suggests what effort can be made by both Canadian government and immigrants for their reciprocal benefits."

Thanks in advance.
