I'm looking for challenging ideas for a listening exercise

Hi teachers,
In relation to the paragraphs below:
How did you escape from prison? Marta asked suddenly.
Alex’s face went white. He stared at Marta and said nothing.
Marta laughed. It’s all right, she said. I’m not afraid of the President’s murdered. You can stay here tonight, Alex Dinon, and have a good sleep. I don’t like the police, and I’m not going to tell them.

Are the following instructions correct? Could they be more challenging?
a) Explain what Marta asked suddenly.
b) Explain what happened after the old woman asked him that question.
c) Explain who isn’t afraid of the President’s murderer.
d) Explain where can Alex stay and what he can have there.
e) Why isn’t she going to tell the police?

Thanks in advance.
