I'm looking for a word

Someone has lost respect and treats you like a garbage 'cause you can't get find a job at all; therefore, he thinks that you're useless. But once, you do find one, he decides to treat you like a brother then. Is "Hypocrite" the right word for it?

Thank you

That describes what I would call a "fair-weather friend". I don't think there's a specific word in English for it. A hypocrite would treat you like garbage for not having a job, despite the fact that he doesn't have a job either.

Perhaps manipulative (if he was acting in his own self-interests), deceitful (acting in a dishonest manner), unprincipled or untrustworthy.
