Nah, he's pretty much proven the doubters wrong. Obviously, I still haven't seen the finished product, but a lot of the shots they showed looked really top-notch. Not that he's not still eccentric, pushy, and downright immature at times. But, apparently, he can direct.

Don't you remember that old Disney "series" with (I think) Kurt Russell? "Gulager, Gulager, Gulager always searching for news." (Or something like that.)

Actually, it was Roger Mobley, not Kurt Russell. And "Gulager" was spelt "Gallegher" back then. But I did remember the "Gallegher, Gallegher, Gallegher..." part right.
