I'm going to put this deadly poison away and get the iodine

A: My finger was pricked by the needle. Mm, could you give me
that iodine to put on my finger? It's the yellow stuff in the cupboard.
B: Oh, yellow stuft yellow stuff! Ah, here it is.
A: Oh, no, not that John. That's the rat poison.
B: Rat poison?
A: Yes, for killing rats.
B: Oh, then I'm going to put this deadly poison away and get the iodine.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have two questions:

1- What does "I'm going to" mean in this sentence?

Does it mean "I will" or does it mean "I intend to"?

2- What does "get" mean in this sentence?

Does it mean "bring" or does it mean "take (with hand)"?

Thank you
