"I’m going decaf."

This AmEng expression is new to me, "I’m going decaf." (meaning, "I'm changing/I am going to change from drinking caffeinated coffee to drinking decaffeinated coffee.") Is the expression quite common in the US?

Hi
I'm going bananas means I'm going (ie becoming) crazy. We also say I'm going nuts.

I'l let Jim tell you about the commando thing. Actually, I didn't think he was that kind of guy.

Best wishes, Clive

Bananas does not mean you are going to eat bananas. It's an expression for going crazy.

As for commando - It is meant to be going without underwear.
