I'm done eating.

Is the sentence above expressed in the passive or is it an active form where 'm is a linking verb?

I find the linking verb hypothesis more appealing. If it's passive, the active is saying Somebody does me , and that makes no sense to me. CJ

I find the linking verb hypothesis more appealing.
