- Writing Task 2: The best way for governments to solve the problem of traffic congestion is providing free public transport in 24 hours per day, and seven days a week.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

TASk 2:

One way to reduce traffic on the road is to upgrade and expand free public transport provison in 24 hours per day and full of week by goverments. While I accept that this may suit many people, I believe that this charge should not be paid for totally free .

On the one hand, providing free bus or train passes to children and the the elderly would encourage more people to use public transport. Moreover, people may face to heath problems because of dust and petrol cars which causes eye diseases and a negative impact on breathe. Besides, using private transport more easily cause serious acccidents than public ones. People may not predict what will happen in the future when driving overspeed.

On the other hands,the best route to ease traffic flow is to pay congestion charge when arriving at rush hour traffic jams. For instance, London is one of the first cities which follows this introduction and it completely work. In addition, cheap fares should be introduced for off-peak travel. People often purchase for something that is not too much expensive but bringing highly benefits.

In conclusion, it is certainly true that public transport can reduce traffic jams, but this is by no means 24 hours per day and seven days a week using it for totally free.
