I'm confused.

Hey, I' m new here. I got confused with some sentences while doing English exercises. I don't know if I can ask for help here.

The questions are:

1. "The manager, having made it clear to us that he didn't agree with us, left the meeting room." Can I replace "having made" with "who has made" ?

2. "Daddy didn't mind what we were doing, as long as we were together, fun. "

A. to have B. having

The correct answer is B, but I think A is even better. I think this sentence means that their daddy didn't mind what they were doing to have fun, as long as they were together.

Thank you!

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

1. "The manager, having made it clear to us that he didn't agree with us, left the meeting room." Can I replace "having made" with "who has made" ? Yes, but you'd change the meaning a bit. I think the best thing here to stay close to the meaning would be to say 'who made it clear ..' or 'who had made it clear ...'
