I'm being - I am

When it means act (= behave):

I'm serious!
I'm being serious!

What if I were always serious? It wouldn't make sense to use the second one even if I were in a situation when someone didn't believe a word I were saying. What do you think?
_______

I'm sarcastic!
I'm being sarcastic!

The same case as the ones above. What if I were always sarcastic?
