More people decided to have children in their later age than in the past. Why? Do advantages of this outweigh disadvantages?

There is a major difference in the age of having a baby between the 21st century and the past. This can be due to the impact of proper education in general and sex education, in particular, as well as the increase of cost of having a child. In my opinion, this trend benefits the generation significantly more than it harms.

First, having children in the later age ensures a better life for the entire family. A couple would have more financial stability and/or a saving needed to raise their child when they have reached certain age. This will allow the household to avoid lowering the living standard while maintaining the best possible education and growing up environment for the baby.

Second, this will guarantee the chance of living in a happy family with both parents of the child. This is because after settling down for couples of years, the married two can further determine their commitment toward each other. A child, therefore, will be less likely to experience a life with a single dad or mom that can diminish their mental health and happiness. In addition, with the parents getting older and wiser, they can give out better lessons and knowledge that they have accumulated over time to their children.

In conclusion, having children during the later stage of life is an idea with many positive effects and few cons. To spread this ideology further, more dedicated education should be given to developing and third world countries - locations that are struggling to adapt this opinion.
