I'm

I'm asking my friend if he is still in Chicago. He replies:

I'm still in Chicago at dinner and probably won't be back in Wuxi for long term till end of the month.

Is this okay?

Thank you!

What's wrong with for long term?

Because the reader is expecting a phrase describing his arrival in Wuxi. "For the long term" is not such a phrase.
