What's the difference between 'illustrative games' and 'example games'?

An example game just shows you how the moves might go "Here is an example of the Gruenfeld Defence"

An illustrative game shows a particular point: "Having played Gruenfeld, Black moved his Q knight to Q2. This game illustrates what can happen then.." (Black loses control of the Q side)
