I'll right

Hi,

I am just wondering about the meaning of "I will right" in the following conversation.

A: Does he know how to get a hold of you?

B: I am at the Gym. My phone number is 000-1111-1111

A: " I'll right ". I'll tell him you called.

Here, I am not sure of the meaning of " I'll right " . Does it mean " All right " ?

Thanks in advance.

I think it's just a mistake -- it should be "all right."

Hello

I agree that it should be a mistake. But I think it could be a miswriting for "I'll write (the number)".

Hi Paco,

I think 'I'll write' is pretty doubtful in this context, even though if someone were transcribing the dialogue from a tape-recording, such a mistake could easily be made if only the sounds were being considered by the transcriber.

Hello Davkett

Yes, I supposed a case that the dialogue was reproduced from a recorded tape. But my theory would be wrong. I myself feel people wouldn't say "I'll write" in this context.
