I'll never forget vs I never forget

A friend of mine wrote a sentence "I never forget for these days with you my love"

and as I tried to correct this I came up with "I'll never forget the times we've spent together, my love."
Now what I'm really wondering is whether the change of present simple 'I never forget' to future 'I will never forget' has any significant impact on the meaning of the sentence.

thank you
