Is there a difference between the words ill and sick? Or they are interchangeable?

These are generally not interchangeable - note how different they sound, which influences how they're used. In particular, saying "He makes me ill." is the strongest possible negative statement. "He makes me sick." does not have the same impact, and is used in less serious contexts.
