Vocabulary

ill

I've just read an article about being liked and I'm trying to answer some questions concerning it.
One of the questions is: When is it wrong to be a 'giver'?
The possible answers are as follows:
a) when it makes you ill
b) when it does not give you pleasure
The answer is in this excerpt: Is there anything wrong in being a giver? Anne Cousins believes there is. "There is a point at which giving becomes unhealthy," she says. "It comes when you do things for others and feel bad about it"

Could somebody help me answer this question? Of course, I know the meaning of the word "ill" but I'm not sure if it's its only meaning.
Thanks in advance
