If you use the words

If you use the words "9 year old", "mom", "well memed", they will call you edgy.

I am not sure if "words" make sense here, it's more like "set of words", except "mom", which is a single word. How would you rephrase this sentence?

If you say/write "9-year-old", "mom", or "well memed", they will call you edgy. I'd feel better if I knew what that meant. The quotation marks take care of letting the reader know it's words.
