If you hadn't jeopardized our business

Is my sentence grammatical and natural? Would it be OK if use "didn't jeopardize" in the first clause? Do I need "it was" after "as we thought"?

If you hadn't jeopardized our business by running up massive debts for that equipment which is not as efficient as we thought it was, our sales wouldn't be halted, and our company might be thriving atm.

Thanks.
