if you hadn't

Hi folks

-if you hadn't understood it yet, I'm willing to do it

-if you haven't understood it yet I'm willing do it

-if you hadn't understood it yet, I would have been willing to do it

I believe the last two are correct but I'm not as sure regarding the first one because of yet

Hi, -if you hadn't understood it yet, I'm willing to do it -if you haven't understood it yet I'm willing do it -if you hadn't understood it yet, I would have been willing to do it I believe the last two are correct Yes but I'm not as sure regarding the first one because of yet The first one seems quite wrong, not just because of 'yet' but because there seems to be no reason to use the Past Perfect even without 'yet'. Can you describe the sequence of events you are thinking of, as an example? Best wishes, Clive

No, then say if you haven't understood it yet, I'm willing to do it or, even better,if you don't understand it yet, I'm willing to do it.

Very generally

MRANALYZE:
Just a bit of advice. I can't help but noticing that all your posts have the same mistakes over and over.
You need to capitalize the first word of every sentence, and end your sentences with a period or question mark.

Thank you but could you help me with the sentences?

You and Clive had a conversation going and I didn't want to interrupt that.
But I don't understand your sentences anyway, so I don't know how to help.

-if you haven't understood it yet I was willing to do it

-if you haven't understood it yet I would have been willing to do it if you had asked

if you haven't understood it yet I was willing to do it if you asked

Hi,

Here's another approach that may help you.

I think it may be better to take a more concrete and simpler scenario and describe the background.
eg Tom comes home and doesn't know if his wife, Mary, has cooked dinner. He doesn't see any dinner, although he doesn't look in the kitchen.

Tom wants to tell Mary that he is willing to do the cooking unless dinner is lread

I would fill it as it follows

He says, 'If you haven't cooked dinner yet, I'll be willing to do it.
