If you don't imagine it

Do all of these sentences work:

a. You are not paranoid if you are not imagining it; if there really is a conspiracy against you.
b. You are not paranoid if you do not imagine it; if there really is a conspiracy against you.

?
I have doubts about 'b'.

You are not paranoid if you do not imagine it;

That sounds like an instruction: don't imagine it and you won't be paranoid.

Many thanks.
