If we hadn't taken him to hospital ...

Hello, could you please clearify some things for me?

"If we hadn't taken him to hospital, he would have died." - This sentence is clear.

"If we hadn't taken him to hospital, he would be dead now" - It is also clear.

How about this? "If we hadn't taken him to hospital, he would have been already dead."

Am I right to use this form, or maybe "would be already dead" is the correct answer?

If it is desired to incorporate the word "already", I would say this:

"If we hadn't taken him to hospital, he would already be dead."
