"if" was or were

Are these sentences correct? and why please? Thanks tutor.

If Chris came/come onto the Lakers team, we will win the final. Do I put "came or come" and do I put comma after "team?"

If I was/were there I would have done that. Do I put "was or were" and do I put the comma after "there?"
