I've never heard of "garbage service" before. Is it the kind of service for someone to take out your garbage like that of a hotel?

Where I live we pay a fee to the city to have garbage removed. We put the full garbage containers out on the street for collection once a week. The trucks come by and take the garbage (and leave the empty containers, of course). Each neighborhood has its own special garbage collection day. (Mine is Wednesday!)
