Grammar

IF ONLY FOR THE FACT THAT

Does this sentence make sense?

1 This computer is better, if only for the fact that it has a dvd player.

What can you replace IF ONLY FOR THE FACT with?

Also is the bold question grammatical? or is it "What can you replace IF ONLY FOR THE FACT BY?"
or " What can you substitute IF ONLY FOR THE FACT for" Is that correct?

Thank you

This computer is better because it has a DVD player. Or mabye, This computer is better, simply because it has a DVD player. Grammaticaly your question is fine.

  • This computer is better because it has a DVD player.
  • Or mabye, This computer is better, simply because it has a DVD player.
  • Grammaticaly your question is fine.
