Is it natural to say "if it is to"?

I'll play this game with a friend, but if it's to play with someone I don't know online I'd rather play a different game.

It doesn't work in that sentence. The minimum correction (leaving as much as possible unchanged) appears to be "but if I'm to play with ...".
