Hello,
Just a quick q. Is this okay in simple past: If Rambo showed up, there was a danger of losing more men to bullets.
Thing is, I simply want to show in past tense what may happen in the future. So will this suffice? I thought it would be better to avoid past conditional III and stick to this.
