If I have a chance, I would like to visit the city.

If I have a chance, I would like to visit the city.

I think that the sentence is correct, but I have never heard of "If I have a chance", but I have heard of "I have the chance (to...), so this is a fixed structure or can I also say "If I have a chance (to,..), I would like to..."?

Thank you as usual for your time and help!

We have the chance (opportunity), and we take a chance (a risk). The are pretty much fixed structures.
