If clause. which sentence is the most appropriate?

Hello.

My doubt is about a sentence with the if clause.

Let's pretend you have a book in your hands that tells about the things that you do.
Which sentence is better for the book dedication?

"The book would have needed endless pages if it described all the great things that you do."

or

"The book would have endless pages if it were to describe all the great things that you do."

or anything different?

Thank you!

It's actually a sort of combination of these two that would make a better sentence. And I don't think endless is the word you want. The book would have countless pages if it described all the great things you do.
