If Clause

Hi ;

i want to explain IF CLAUSE as i teach in my classes .

please tell me if they are correct or NOT:(

1-present , instruction :

if you want to pass the exam , study hard

2- present , future:

if you eat too much, you 'll become fat

3-present , present:

if you boil water, it becomes steam

*notes:

a-(can we use will here or the rule is fixed present, present ?)

b-(it's for facts only such as scientifc facts )

4-past, would :

if i were Shakespeare, i would write novels.

*notes:

a-(it's for imaginative sentnces )
