If anyone would

1 If anyone would jump off this cliff, they would die.
2 If anyone jumped off this cliff, they would die.

Is there a real difference between '1' and '2'?

Could the structure in '1' be used with objects?
I think it implies volition.

Gratefully,
Navi.

Happy New Year.

The basic difference is that #1 is incorrect, in that it does not follow the regular sequence of tenses as used correctly in #2. I don't know what you mean by your final question.
