My mother did not say anything, she didn't even seem sorry, instead she took her coat from the room inside and wore it while turning to me, “why are you standing there, are we not going?” she yelled in amusement, her bleary eyes was glittering. “To where,” I asked, looking at her blankly. “To go on a picnic,” she replied, laughing. Taking the bag standing behind the door, she went out to the porch and standing there for me to come grinning. I was surprised; I hadn't noticed the bag when I came in. Apparently my mother had thought to surprise me by preparing a picnic bag. The angry expression on my face gave way to a vague relaxation; my facial expression relaxed and finally left its place to a happy smile. Just tucked my shirt into my trousers and my feet into my boot, and I went out hastily after my mother. After locking the two winged outer door, as we started walking towards the game field of the neighborhood with my mother, I was walking in the air due to the extreme happiness. Because I was going out with my mother for the first time in my life and going on a picnic, we, mother and son, would have the time of our lives together. It was our day today. Due to the fact that I wanted to arrive at the parking area at once, I grasped her hand and was pulling.

"You're graduating this year, aren’t you?” she wanted to know, “you have just a little time to finish your school, so be patient," she added. There was a sparkle in her eyes. She had been getting a great pleasure with my success so far. “Yes, I know,” I replied sadly, “I'm patient with it, but I think I will be ranked the second in success of this year.” She immediately noticed that I had a bitter taste in my response. “You seem you don't like it much. What's the matter?” she questioned. “Yes, mother, I don't like it,” I replied. Every year I usually received the highest rank in success in the school but this year I fell into the second place, this was hard to swallow. “Why is this disappointment and anger?” she asked. I did not say anything, bowed my head, took off my school uniform, and started to wear my casuals. She shifted the direction of conversation, then. “Why are you so early today?” she inquired. “Today is Nowruz,” I pointed, and continued, “parents came to the park behind the school, for a picnic today. They waited for their children to join them after the class. Upon this, the director decided to close the school early to allow them to join their families. That was the reason,” I explained. “What does it mean?” apparently she wanted to know what Nowruz was about. “To tell the truth, I don’t know, mother,” I replied, “but it was because of the parents that the school closed early. They came to school to take their children to the park for picnic today.” “How fine it is,” she pointed. “What is fine about it?” I asked, “I couldn’t understand you,” I replied in anger. “I couldn’t understand you either,” she pointed, “I couldn’t understand whether you're angry with being ranked second or not going on a picnic.” She wanted to know the real reason behind my anger. Eventually, I could not resist, “everyone is at the picnic having fun, where are we? At home,” I said sadly but harshly.
