Hi,

Explain the difference in meaning in the following pairs of sentences:

A It will rain tomorrow.

A1 It is going to rain.

A The action will happen in the future ``tomorrow``

A1The action is about to happen now, there are many clouds and I almoust feel the rain.

You have the basic idea. We tend to use these pretty interchangeably.
