Can we use sentesnce that begins with if I would have.....? If we can, could you please some me some examples with their meanings? Please.

"If I would have studied harder I'd have an A."
If I studied harder for the test instead of slacking off my grade would be an A.

"If I would have tried hard we would still be today today."
If more effort went into my relationship I would still be in one today.
