I would like to know the difference between "1" and "2".
1. If I were in your shoes, I would have done the same thing.
2. If I had been in your shoes, I would have done the same thing.

I"m not the best person to answer questions about conditionals. If I were in your shoes (now), I would do the same thing (that you are now doing). If I had been in your shoes (then), I would have done the same thing (that you did then).

So technically, #2 is correct, although I expect you'll hear #1.
