Suppose if my first word of the sentence is If, then must the following words of that sentence be strictly present tense? (or can it also be past tence at times)
Top answer

If I took the SAT I for 4 times, how will Cornell use the multiple scores that I send for evaluation? Is the underline send or sent? (also explain why)
You took the test in the past. You may not have sent the scores yet. If you have already sent them, then "sent." If you have not yet sent them, then "send."
(However, my recollection is that the most recent score is what is considered, even if your earlier score was higher.)
