IETLS WRITING TASK 2 : Technology communication

With the rapid advancement of communication technology: smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices, some people believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Over the past decades, there has been a growing trend towards the progressive quickening rapid of technological in communication from smartphones, tablets to other mobile devices in both developed and developing nations for variety of reasons.

Given that the above-mentioned one may bring several downsides, especially for the young generation, it also accompanies with highly justifiable, from my point of view.

There are a number of reasons why these developments bring several advantages. It is undeniable that telephone and internet revolutionize the way we communicate as well as strengthen relationship. I can easily exchange emails with best friend of mine who had to live far away the country. Or if i have to make a really important decision or something is boring me, I just simply press the buttons on my phone in order to ask a good friend for advice. Besides, technology help people to transmit messages rapidly, especially in office work. For example, an appointment that cannot be met due to an unexpected incident, can quickly be cancelled by writing a text message or sending an email within seconds to their business partners.

On the one hand, many people believe that the substantial development of technologically equipment in this field do more harm than good.The availability of cutting-edge technologies is the primary consequence of leading to isolate and discourage real interaction. For instance, many young people choose to make friends online rather than meeting face to face, which accidentally make a distance in interacting with each other in the real life, and these “virtual” relationships are a poor substitute for real friendships.

In conclusion, although some experts imply that this trend benefits society , especially in communication field, it seems to me that disadvantages still outweigh the advantages.
