IETLS Writing Task 1: Bar chart. Please review my essay.

The bar chart compares the hours spent by 10 to 15-year-olds in the UK on two activities, namely chatting online and playing computer games.

It is clear that the total time spent on computer games is marginally higher than that for chatting online. However, while boys tend to spend more time playing computer games than chatting online, girls are the opposite.

Boys aged 10 to 15 clearly favour playing on games consoles over chatting online. According to the chart, while about 85% of boys play computer games daily, this figure for chatting online is only over 50%. However, the number of boys spending less than an hour chatting online and playing computer games is marginally equal, just over 25%.

On the contrary, girls prefer chatting online to playing on games console. In comparison, while nearly 70% of girls participate in online conversation every day, the figure for taking computer games is just around 50%. Furthermore, the girls engaging in chatting online for over one hour per day accounts for approximately 45%, compared with only 15% of them taking computer games daily.
