IETLS Task 1 - MAP

Both images display a library, before and after it was developed during the period of 5 years.

Overall, the studying tables are set up in the center of the library, which is surrounded by seven areas with specific functions. Over the period, the library was completely transformed with the replacement of other functions in five areas; however, the Northern part and one area in the West of the library appear to have been left unchanged.

The most noticeable changes are the studying tables. 4 studying tables were replaced with 6 new private studying tables. The booking shelves in the South and the desks for computers in the North East were both converted into the desks for students ’ s laptops. The library office to the South East is now used as a conference room.

The classroom was constructed in the West and now replaced with a new recording studio. The borrowing and returning desk at the edge of the room were divided into two separated areas. Apart from the booking shelves to the North, the meeting room that between two functional areas of the West remains the only feature relatively untouched.
