Some people think international car-free days are an effective way of reducing air pollution, others think there are some other ways. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Recently, air pollution is a painful problem for human-being while it effects negatively on human health. Establishing a car-free day internationally is supposed to be an efficient solution to the reduction of air pollution while others believe there are some other ways.

On one hand, there are some ways which can contribute to the reduction of air pollution. For the air quality amelioration, the government should invest more in public transports‘ services and facilities. Citizens are prone to choose friendly, punctual custom services. The improvement in public transport specializes in those aspects, can raise the proportion of people using the public vehicle. Moreover, the government should apply some modern technology achievement into the public transport such as biology-gas as fuel which will produce fewer air pollutants.

Otherwise, having a day in which cars are restricted and discouraged internationally can reduce the amount of fumes exhausted by private vehicles. Firstly, an enormous volume of vehicle is diverted from the congested streets on a certain day. Thus, it leads to the reduction of bottlenecks and traffic tailbacks in big cities. Moreover, this international day benefits both developed and developing countries which are unbridled use of cars, which produce air pollutants such as carbon dioxide. Secondly, formulating a policy on the restriction of cars globally in a certain day can raise awareness of citizens about environmental issues such as air pollution. The consistency promoting of that action can gradually change human prejudice about pollution.

In conclusion, each way has its own advantages that contribute to the amelioration of air quality. Besides, I believe that establishing international car-free days outweigh other solutions due to those benefits.
