IELTS WRITTING TASK 2

Please help me review my writing IELTS task 2

It is important to be concerned about international events, even if those events have no direct impact on our lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is a common belief that it is necessary to pay attention to world events, as long as they are unlikely to impact our lives. I completely agree with this view. This is because knowledge of international events not only allows nations to provide support to other countries but also come up with reliable measures to solve similar problems.

To begin with, people can assist citizens who are experiencing difficulties in other countries. To be specific, humanity must frequently encounter plenty of unexpected events such as: crises, natural disasters, conflicts,...By understanding these events, it is possible to share resources to aid others in need. For instance, the 2011 earthquake in Japan caused numerous damages. However, timely remedies of the government along with a quick reaction from international communities helped Japan to make repairs throughout the region.

On top of that, taking heed in international events allows people to have practical solutions to deal with the likely upcoming issues in their own society. The fact that many communities have to face the same dilemma, therefore, understanding clearly defeated and successful ways would orientate to better approaches. For example, by carefully observing what occurred in China, the United States and Europe during the early Covid-19 epidemic, Vietnam could learn valuable lessons from them. As the result, we were triumphant to be able to significantly prevent the community spread of this deadly plague.

To sum up, I believe that people do take notice of other countries’ events so that it is immediate in humanitarian assistance and more useful to keep up with effective solutions. For these reasons, it is important to maintain the concern of events taking place all over the world.
