It is true that many people set salary as the top priority when seeking for a job. While I accept that this may suit many people, I believe that there are other valuable factors needed to take into account beside wages.

On the one hand, a good wage is beneficial in some ways. Firstly, it plays an integral part in guaranteeing the current quality of life. In other words, being offered a high salary allows employees to meet basic human needs, such as foods and drinks, cloths and other daily expenses. In addition, they will have more money to satisfy their wants with an appropriate financial foundation. Furthermore, high salary will encourage workers to try hard and enhance the level of job performance. Consequently, employees will hold a very positive motivation to complete their tasks with a quality-oriented result, which is generally beneficial for both workers and employers.

On the other hand, there are a variety of factors affecting the job choice. Working environment and promotion opportunity are also considered by some people. If an enterprise creates a friendly, dynamic working environment and transparent promotion system, they will attract more skilled human resources. Furthermore, many young people are willing to do unpaid work in order to earn more real experience. This also may enhance their resume when they seek for a job in the future.

In conclusion, it is certainly true that salary is one of the main criteria for many job seekers when looking for a position, but this is by no means the only key factor for everyone in making a career decision.
