IELTS WRITING TEST 2 CAMBRIDGE 10

Some people think all university students should study whatever they like. I strongly agree students should study whatever they like as there are many secure career options apart from science and technology. Students should get a chance to explore themselves and pursue whatever they wish to study. Many career options such as Architecture, Art, Designing, Law, Pilot, etc can be pursued and succeed in your future.

Students should only pursue in what their interest lasts in, as they would happily study and work in that field. For instance, if a child loves to paint art but due to lack of knowledge and parents pressure or universities not including these subjects makes child forcing chose between science and technology. This results in peer pressure and poor academic score of that child. However, if same child is allowed to showcase his/her talent in art then child would surely love it while doing and could succeed with great grades.

Moreover, parents expect students should perform well in examinations. This creates huge pressure on students. Some students might not handle pressure while studying forced subjects and might take wrong actions in peer pressure. Not just parents but students have competition amongst themselves. If not achieved well grades leads to low self esteem where as learning subjects which are of interest can cheer students and create happy and confident atmosphere around them.

Overall looking at the pros of students getting chance to select their subjects and pursue their dream career apart from science and technology is correct choice. Neither parents nor universities should force or pressurize students to select subjects instead motivate them to pursue their goal.
