Ielts Writing Tast 1 - Bar Chart-

The given column chart compares the proportion of unemployment of graduates from 20 to 24 years old by gender in a European nation over quarter period in 2008 and 2009.

Overall, after graduating from schools or universities, the ratio of the men who were out of work is higher than women in all surveyed period. It is also clear that this figure increased by years and reached the peak for both sexes in the October of each year.

In the last quarter of 2008 and 2009, the percentage of graduated students, aging 20 to 24, who did not have jobs was the highest figures and the ratio for men always witnessed a double higher than another with 16% and 22%, respectively. The second highest for this figure in 2008 and 2009 was the first period of each, accounting for 10% and 13% for male beside 7% and 12% for female.

In the second and third quarter of 2008, the amount of graduate unemployment in age of 20 to 24 was almost same at 8% for men and 6% for women. However, in the next year, these figures were different and rose significantly to 12% and 11% for men in turn and 9% for women on July of 2008 excepting of the ratio for women on April of 2009 was the same in a year ago
