The table below shows the average band scores for students from 4 different countries taking the IELTS Test in 2009.

The table gives information about the average band score achieved by the Ielts candidates from 4 countries, namely Germany, France, Vietnam and Malaysia in the year of 2009.
Overall, speaking was the most competent skill performed by candidates in 4 countries. Additionally, while German students received the highest band score in 3 skills, namely, listening, speaking and writing, Malaysian ones achieved the highest figure in reading skill.
It is clear that while German candidates took the lead in listening band score, at 6.8, Malaysian ones received the lowest figure in this section, at 6.2. In addition, contestants from Germany and Malaysia scored the highest point in speaking, at 6.9 and 6.8 respectively. While Malaysian ones got the lowest point in writing skill, at 6.0, the lowest figure for reading was achieved by German students, at 6.3.
Vietnamese and French students got the same band scores in reading and listening sections, only at 6.3 and 6.1 for each skill. While French candidates received a band score of 6.5, which was higher than that of Vietnamese ones in Writing skill, at 6.2, by contrast,Vietnamese contestants were superior to French ones in Speaking section, at 6.7 and 6.6 respectively.
