Q..In future, nobody will buy printed books or newspapers because they will be available to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
In the coming years, people will not buy printed books and newspapers because everything will be available online to read even people would not pay for it as they will be freely accessible online. I strongly disagree with the given statement.
E-books and newspapers have many advantages. They are easy to use and are readily available almost everywhere. There are some advantages of digital books and newspapers is the they are environmental friendly as no paper is used to print these books, which means no trees are harmed to produce papers. All of these factors convince people that digital versions of books are more convenient and cheaper.
On the other hand, traditional printed books and magazines have existed for several periods of time and I believe they have created an emotional connection, the smell of new book, feel of touching papers while reading, all these have a deep impact on readers. Books are forms of art, like statues and paintings. You can have pictures of some famous and historical paintings and places.
Based on this, I believe that the number of printed books will considerably be decreased in the future maybe there will be a drastic decline seen in paper books and magazines, but tangible books will be in demand for some people who have a deep connection. Personally, I do not think that there is big chance magazines and newspapers will move into the online world completely, however, there will be a huge demand for e-books and digital magazines in the future as they are easily available for almost everyone.
